Support the Promise
of USC Union

The University of South Carolina Union plays a key role in the University's goal to expand access to higher education in the state. As part of the statewide campus system, USC Union's main campus in Union and branch campus in Laurens serves seven rural counties and is committed to providing outreach, broad access and needed programs to its communities. A regional two-year campus, USC Union offers an excellent academic experience for nearly 500 students. The majority of the students it serves are first-generation college students.

About USC Union

In the 1960s, the citizens of Union formed the Union County Commission for Higher Education to attract a college to their area. The University of South Carolina sought to expand its reach throughout the state and agreed to build an extension campus in Union. Classes began at the campus in 1965 with an initial enrollment of 51 students.
