The Sam Laundon Memorial Scholarship was established in remembrance of Sam Laundon, an international business major at the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business, who unexpectedly passed away in October 2020. Mr. Laundon was part of the International Business of the Americas Cohort program and was in the process of deciding between a career in economics, accounting or operations and supply chain. Faculty and staff describe Mr. Laundon as extremely intelligent, kind and humble with a vibrant personality and a smile that could light up a room. He was also a brilliant and academically gifted student who no doubt would have leveraged his education and study abroad experiences into an accomplished international career.
